New medicines require a new way of thinking.
To outsmart the most complex diseases by programming logic into medicine with unprecedented intelligence, safety and control.
Founded on smart science
Senti is a technology-driven therapeutics company here to lead the next generation of medicine—where cells are the hardware and gene circuits are the software. Programming cells to respond, adapt and make decisions, Senti is working to create smarter therapies with computer-like logic, enhanced functionality and greater control.
Senti is built on the shoulders of those who have come before. We believe in the power of knowledge and data to overcome any barriers to success.
Driven by strong leadership
CEO and co-founder, Tim Lu, brings his pioneering expertise in computer programming, electrical engineering and microbiology to Senti. Tim started the company in 2016 with former MIT classmate Philip Lee, who received his Ph.D. from UC Berkeley’s Graduate Program in Bioengineering and is the former Director of New Business at Merck KGaA. Together, Senti’s larger team is comprised of industry-leading experts, groundbreaking scientists, world-class advisors and passionate people with deep translational knowledge of advanced gene circuit therapies.
The Senti development approach
Senti thinks broadly about how we can improve health outcomes for many people. In doing so, the entire organization remains focused on quick, iterative improvement of gene circuit technology. Senti continues to assemble an amazing interdisciplinary team to design, test and learn together every day. Working this way, our people quickly know what works and what doesn’t. Leveraging those insights, our team then starts on even better solutions.
Our innovation values
We believe we have what it takes to build a lasting company founded on our gene circuit technology—not a company with just one product or two, but a company that will bring tremendous value across a vast array of therapeutic areas.
Our commitment to advancing medicine is based on these core values.
We must never become complacent or afraid to be different.
All our voices must be heard so we can outsmart these complex diseases.
Build to Last
We are here to make a lasting impact for countless lives and for generations to come.
